Overview:
Super Sons of Tomorrow is a storyline published in 2017-2018, primarily in the “Super Sons” series, created by writer Peter J. Tomasi and illustrated by Jorge Jimenez. This arc centers on the young heroes Jonathan Kent (Superboy) and Damian Wayne (Robin) as they navigate their friendship and the challenges that come with their legacies.
In this arc, the duo faces a new threat from a future version of Batman, who is determined to eliminate the younger heroes to prevent future calamities. This antagonist, known as the “Future Batman,” forces Jonathan and Damian to confront the darker aspects of their powers and responsibilities. Throughout the storyline, themes of friendship, destiny, and the consequences of choices come to the forefront.
The critical and fan reception has generally been positive, with praise for its engaging character dynamics and the exploration of the relationship between the young heroes. Readers appreciate the blend of action and emotional depth, making it a standout arc in the DC Rebirth initiative. The art by Jimenez complements the story well, capturing both the energy of the battles and the subtleties of character interactions.

For crossover and significant events, I typically only read the main story the first time I encounter it. Trying to read all of the tie-ins with the story tends to make them increasingly convoluted and are not crucial to the main narrative. However, I think they are important to read, as many series-shifting plotlines can happen.
For the tie-in issues, I only read them as they come up in the reading guide that I am working through. This can become problematic because the tie-in issues are not always included in collected editions of the event. So you may need to hunt for them.
Reading Order:
Title | Importance | Collected |

Superman #37 | Main Story | Super Sons of Tomorrow |
Super Sons #11 | Main Story | Super Sons of Tomorrow |
Teen Titans #15 | Main Story | Super Sons of Tomorrow |
Superman #38 | Main Story | Super Sons of Tomorrow |
Super Sons #12 | Main Story | Super Sons of Tomorrow |
