My Rating Philosophy

5.0 rating

Ratings are very subjective, and everyone interprets a rating scale differently. So, to clarify the ratings for my reviews, I wanted to share my rating scale. Because I am playing catchup on 80 years of comic book history and cherry pick the great stories, I tend to like most of the comics I read. Therefore my hierarchy is designed to minimize the number of 4 and 5-star ratings I give, ensuring they have significance.

  • 5 Star – One of my all-time favorites
  • 4 Star – I loved the book
  • 3 Star – I really liked the book. I will continue in the series and maybe revisit again
  • 2 Star – I liked the book, but not worth recommending or revisiting
  • 1 Star – I did not like the book
  • 0 Star – I could not finish the book
